Legal Center Seeks Removal of Bladensburg Cross
August 22, 2012 – The legal center has sent a letter to the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission asking it to remove the “Peace Cross,” a World War I memorial in the form of large Christian cross owned and maintained by the Commission on public property at the intersection of several major roads near the Washington, D.C., line.
